Why I’m Shifting My Focus (And What I’m Excited About)

This blog is something I’ve been meaning to start for a long time, and it feels only right that the very first post begins with honesty and intention. Photography, and life, has shifted for me, and with that comes a new chapter for my business.

From Weddings to Real Life

I have spent a lot of time capturing weddings during my photography journey, and they’ll always hold a special place in my heart. Capturing couples celebrating their love has been an incredible privilege.

But over time, I realized that what I love most is documenting life as it unfolds.

The quiet, the messy, the milestones that aren’t part of a ceremony but still matter. I’ve been lucky to have clients who let me return year after year, watching their children grow from babies to toddlers to kids with personalities all their own. Those moments are what energize me and inspire me to show up fully as a photographer.

That said, as 2026 begins, I’m making a small but meaningful pivot: I’m stepping away from offering wedding photography as a service and focusing fully on lifestyle photography.

Why Lifestyle Photography

This isn’t about leaving weddings behind because I don’t care about them. It’s about creating space to focus on the sessions where I feel most present, where I can spend time with my clients and really document their lives as they are. Weddings will always be part of who I am as a photographer, but lifestyle photography lets me slow down, follow the story, and watch it grow over time. Those are the moments I can’t get enough of.

Whether it’s capturing a family milestone, your children growing up, or professional branding sessions that showcase who you are, my goal is the same: authentic, meaningful photography that tells your story.

That’s the work that excites me now, and that’s where I want to focus my energy.

Continuing the Story

If you’re someone who wants to preserve memories of the real, beautiful parts of life I’d love to help you capture every moment.
